About Me
Hello, and welcome to my little piece of real estate on the Internet! My name is Michael, and this is where I’m building my permanent online home.
Who Am I?
I’m a 56-year-old Saved, Bible-believing Baptist Christian and a Natural Born Floridian American with proud Polish ancestry. While I have a passion for computers and new technologies, life circumstances led me to pause my pursuit of an IT degree. That hasn’t stopped me from learning on my own—I enjoy diving into tech and finding ways to use it in my daily life.
My Journey
After high school and two years of college, I spent 18 years working in state and local government before retiring. Currently, I’m a Pharmacy Technician and have recently been promoted to Pharmacy Purchasing Agent. It’s a fulfilling role that also allows me to explore and integrate technology into my work.
Music and More
Music has always played an important role in my life. I learned to play the trombone during my school years and even played in college. My time with music nurtured my love for Classical, Gospel, and Christian music. Although I don’t actively play anymore, I still treasure my trombone and the memories it represents.
My Current Interests
I’m also exploring web technologies and self-hosting. While I’ve been trying to blog more, I know that most of my thoughts may fall into the ether. Still, I think I’ve finally found my home here. I also post occasionally on Blogger and Micro.blog, and you can also find me on Mastodon and Bluesky, but Write.as feels like a great place to share my thoughts.
